            Abstract : 
In the late summer of 1999, Commonwealth Edison experienced several major events impacting critical loads in downtown Chicago. These events led to multiple reliability improvement initiatives including the development of a predictive distribution system reliability model containing more than 3300 feeders. This paper discusses the reliability model, the modeling effort and a summary of results. In addition, the paper discusses the efforts to integrate reliability assessment into Commonwealth Edison´s planning process
