Abstract
Virtual Reality is a three dimensional, computer generated simulation in which one can navigate around, interact with, and be immersed in a live-sensation environment. It provides a technical support for the modern medicine. The concept of VR is introduced in this paper. And the application areas, research and development of VR in medicine such as virtual surgery training, medical treatment, medicine composition and experiment are narrated in detail.
