Abstract :
The paper begins with a discussion on convergence, what is convergence, the need for convergence and the drivers for convergence in the telecom domain. Further we start discussing on the need for an integrated network management solution for the converged network. We then start looking at the various challenges the vendors will face in providing converged network management solutions and also what problems will enterprisers face in setting up converged network management solutions. We further also discuss the various approaches by which these challenges can be mitigated.
