Abstract :
We report the lowest attenuation of 0.35 dB/km @ 1550 nm achieved in the aluminum-doped, SMF-28reg-like, SM optical fiber. Additional features such as lower n2, dispersion, and dispersion-slope, higher SBS threshold and better profiling stability have also been demonstrated
