Abstract :
Summary form only given, as follows. A 10 mA CW H-ion source using a transformer coupled plasma source for Korea Multipurpose Accelerator Complex (KOMAC) is under development. The H-ion source for KOMAC is a radio-frequency (rf), volume type, H-source using the transformer coupled plasma with an outside antenna. In the past experiment of H- ion extraction, the total current of an H-beam of 3mA without cesium and with CW operation is achieved. Various H-beam qualities are measured experimentally and simulated by PBGUN and IGUN to match beam parameters of the RFQ through the LEBT and pulse mode operation is considered to improve H-beam current.
