Abstract :
The authors describe the development of an instructional image database package to enhance the quality of instruction in image processing courses. The package is a multimedia toolkit that includes a student booklet, classroom presentation materials (overhead transparencies, 35-mm slides, and videotapes), and an online archive of image data files. The images contained in this database demonstrate fundamental image processing concepts and the performance of basic image processing algorithms.<>
