Abstract :
This paper describes a new permanent magnet synchronous machine and power electronics converter proposed for in-wheel mounting in an electric vehicle. The motor performances are computed using FEM simulation. The drives performance is computed for urban and rural driving, using a mathematical model of the electric vehicle implemented in a Matlab program
