Abstract :
Summary form only given, as follows. Thin films of plasma-polymerized aniline were doped during plasma processing with sublimation vapors from TTF powder. Using techniques described in the literature on Knudsen cells, sublimators and effusion cells, TTF precursor vapors were processed along with aniline vapor using both pulsed and steady state RF excitation. Substrate material was indium tin oxide (ITO) on glass slides. After fabrication the transparent ITO layer formed the positive electrode while the negative electrode consisted of stainless steel, aluminum, gold, silver or carbon. Nonlinear current voltage (IV) characteristics were measured for these solid-state films. Under certain conditions light was emitted from these devices during the IV measurements.
