Abstract :
In this paper, optical extinction ratio for various injection locking parameters (detuning and power) is characterized, showing that it varies with the locking parameters. Conditions where an extinction ratio of > 8.2 dB (SONET standards) is possible are observed, together with a flat frequency response and greatly enhanced resonance frequency. CW light-current (LI) characteristics are also investigated.
