Abstract
The paper presents the mathematical model of Nd-Fe-B single-phase permanent-magnet synchronous motor (SPPM) fed by PWM inverter and its starting process is simulated and analyzed. A discussion is provided to show the influence of various parameters on the motor dynamic performance. The analysis gives a theoretical basis for design optimization of the SPPM and improving the dynamic performance of the variable speed systems
