  • Abstract
Based on the nonlinear internal-model control (IMC), associated with the suitable commutation strategy, a novel control solution for smooth torque control of switched reluctance motor is formulated and designed, which ensures the torque ripple minimization and the drive´s robustness in spite of the plant-model mismatch and uncertainties. Some important properties are presented. Test results obtained from a 7.5 kW 4-phase switched reluctance motor controlled by the nonlinear IMC verify the authors´ novel control solution
