Abstract
Discusses the concept of multitasking and assesses both its benefits as well as drawbacks for the way people work and live. Multitasking is a term that comes from computer technology. It???s when a computer handles more than one task at once, instead of taking tasks sequentially. How does it work in people? It has been shown that people are also limited to handling one thing at a time. Multitasking really just means jumping from one task to another. Identifies the problems people face with multitasking and discusses the extent to which humans can effectively multitask.
