Abstract
In this paper an easy planning method has been reported which provides the solution of radial distribution planning problem very quickly without using any classical optimization technique. A multi-stage decision process is developed where optimum feeder routes with proposed substations are obtained directly based on additional cost of connecting a line in first stage and the result in first stage is used to determine the optimum locations and number of substations by iterative techniques in next stages.
