Abstract
We are concerned with the problem of optimizing the production of a failure-prone manufacturing system under fluctuating demand and production dependent failure rate. We consider a two-state machine, with Markovian state dynamics. In the model considered, the demand rate is “noisy”, i.e. it is allowed to fluctuate around a constant mean value
