Abstract
Summary form only given, as follows. The Pulsed Power Group at IPR is involved in the study of pulsed power driven concepts for inertial type fusion schemes & other industrial applications. In particular we are interested in exploring the concept of magnetized target fusion & in developing a soft X-ray source, based on wire array implosion. For this purpose two capacitor banks are being developed at IPR. The first is a 114 kJ, 40 kV capacitor bank. This bank, capable of delivering currents up to 30 million amperes is to become operational shortly.
