  • Abstract
    This paper presents a radiation pattern measurement system in order to evaluate mm-wave antenna fed by contact probe. It reduces the transmission loss by using a waveguide as a revolving arm. Three cut patterns can be measured by changing the orientation of the revolving arm. A differential feeding dipole antenna with a reflection plate was evaluated by using this measurement system. The measurement result of half-power beam width agrees well with the simulation result and the dynamic range is more than 20 dB. By covering the possible scatterers in the anechoic chamber by planar electromagnetic absorber, the ripple in the half-power beam width is suppressed below plusmn0.5 dB.
