  • Abstract
The integration of super-broadband optical and wireless systems is considered to be one of the most promising solutions to increase capacity and mobility as well as decreasing overall costs in next-generation access networks. In this paper, desirable features of network architectures and enabling technologies for delivering future super-broadband dual services are investigated. These key technologies include optical millimeter-wave (mm-wave) generation and transmission in downlink direction; full-duplex operation by using centralized light source in uplink and integration with WDM PON.
