Abstract :
To solve the voltage problems in the area of wind farms, this paper designs a coordinated control system of the wind farms. A coordinated voltage control strategy using the sensitivity method is presented in the paper. The coordinated control is divided into two hierarchies in this strategy. In the primary control, each wind farm regulates the POI (point of interconnection) of wind farm at the voltage reference value automatically. In the secondary control, the control center of wind farms gives the voltage reference value and reactive power adjustment amount. In this strategy, when the POI voltage of certain wind farm exceeds the allowable range due to the lack of reactive power, the control center calculate the sensitivity matrix between each wind farm and select the appropriate wind farm with maximum sensitivity value. Then the reactive power adjustment amount of selected wind farm is calculated by sensitivity method. Finally, a case demonstrates the validity of the proposed strategy.
