Abstract
In this paper, the broad banding of microstrip antenna by using fractal slot structure is discussed. The investigation has been carried out by modifying a basic microstrip slot antenna by three possible fractal shaped slot structures namely Giuseppe Peano, Koch and Apollonian type. The simulation results show that the impedance bandwidth of 60% for S11 ≤ - 10 dB can be obtained. Maximum realized gain is 5.2 dB.
