Abstract
In this paper the first practical demonstration of a versatile phase conjugating lens is presented. The lens is shown to be capable of focusing a signal launched from a dipole to a resolution, at the 3 dB points across the array, of ±0.24 λ@2.4 GHz. In addition a completely new function has been demonstrated, namely the ability of the lens to image from the near field into the far field i.e. “image displacement” without loss of resolution.
