Abstract
Previously most of microwave circuits were designed based on thin film or thick film technologies. Nowadays many microwave laminates are becoming available for microwave circuits to be fabricated using standard epoxy/glass (FR4) processes offered at competitive prices. However, until recently, many surface mount components available are meant for lower frequency applications i.e. below 3 GHz. In this work, design feasibility of a microwave oscillator, covering S & C bands on printed circuit board with surface mount technology components is presented. The oscillator is expected to oscillate from 3 to 7 GHz, with minimum output power of 11 dBm throughout the band
