Abstract :
In the past few years new standards have been emerging that could be used to enhance traditional broadcast programs. The ability to use these new kinds of content to build new, rich, attractive and interactive applications has been shown through various PC based applications. Their integration in an end-to-end distribution chain needs to be studied. This paper describes an original solution from a system architecture point of view for an application that receives enhanced broadcast contents. In order to validate our concept, we tested the implementation of this system on a relevant application: the Philips Immersive Broadcast application
