Abstract :
A GRENOUILLE (grating eliminated no-nonsense observation of ultrafast incident laser light E-fields) using a SHG Proustite crystal for measuring 100-fs to ∼1-ps pulses at ∼1.5 μm wavelengths is demonstrated. Coupled with commercial real time FROG (frequency-resolved-optical-gating) code, it is ideal for measuring commercial fiber-laser pulses. The need for alignment is eliminated because of its compact and easy to use design. It also yields the complete pulse intensity, phase and spatio-temporal distortions, spatial chirp and pulse-front tilt.
