Abstract
This paper considers the mixed H2/H∞ control problem for descriptor systems. First, we show the H2 and H∞ norms for descriptor systems. We define the mixed H2/H∞ performance cost subject to a constraint on the H∞ norm. We also show that the mixed H2/H∞ performance cost over all static descriptor variable feedback controllers can not be improved by the use of dynamic controllers. Besides, we show that the appropriate feedback gains can be obtained by solving LMI
