Abstract
Demand-Side Management programs may potentially impact transmission overlay design and development. This paper highlights MISO´s methodology in developing the future estimates for demand response and energy efficiency programs and how these resources are integrated into planning models. The paper also presents the results of capacity expansions and the methodology for siting demand response units into the power flow models.
