  • Abstract
Mobile cranes are very common equipments on various construction sites due to their flexibility and high efficiency. But many construction fatalities are related to cranes because that the center-of-gravity position of them can be easily shifted while driving. Thus skilled techniques and experiences are needed during their operations. For higher efficiency and safety, it is a good choice that using computer-aided simulation technologies to simulate the whole hoisting working process in order to improve one-time success rate of lifting operation. This paper firstly gives a review of basic technologies for mobile carne 3D dynamic simulation. And then current research progress of 3D dynamic simulation and 4D representation is discussed and analyzed. At the end, according to analysis results the tendency of the technologies for mobile cranes is pointed out and the directions for future work are suggested.
