Abstract :
Automatic tuning of control parameters inside the on-line pressure feedback data in the mold can ensure high-quality of the injection molding product. The paper presents an algorithm to estimate the pressure distribution on-line by using measurement data from pressure sensors embedded in the nozzle and cavity during the injection molding process. According to the estimated pressure distribution around the mold, necessary control parameters can be calculated for automatic tuning of the injection molding. The experimental results of the holding phase in injection-molding process demonstrate clearly the accuracy of the proposed method
