Abstract
The paper presents a zeroth order resonance Composite Right/Left-Handed (CRLH) coplanar waveguide (CPW) antenna on AlSiMag 614 alumina substrate. The device was designed, microprocessed and tested for millimeter wave frequency range (48 GHz). Experimental results for two antenna samples show return loss of -22.72 dB at f = 47.95 GHz and -19.26 dB at f = 48.12 GHz, respectively. The -3 dB beamwidth of the transversal radiation lobe are 57° and 54°, respectively, for the two antenna samples. The antenna gain is 8.98 dBi/f = 48 GHz.
