  • Abstract
    The technologies needed for a comprehensive CBM approach for Avionic Fiber Optic Networks are available today. Utilizing BIT and OTDR capability embedded into transceivers can enable PHM approaches to fiber optic network faults and degradation. The implementation of a CBM approach for Fiber Optic Networks will enable greater transition to fiber technologies for avionics.
