Abstract
Fuzzy theory is applied in the time-lapse seismic system, considering the fuzziness of exploration data and geological information. A new fuzzy clustering method is introduced; it requires only that the degree of fineness of clustering be set. The method provided valuable information for geological interpretation. And then how high-level of object-oriented concepts can be used to provide a generic, portable and fuzzy logic framework is described. Relevant design patterns and architectures are identified.
