Abstract :
This paper presents a technique for synchronizing synchronous generators without speed control. The proposed construction is under development in a research project which aims to control auxiliary synchronous generators in a hydroelectric power unit. An UPFC device is used to achieve the synchronism of the synchronous generator with the power system. Simulation with different phases angles and voltage magnitude are presented to demonstrate the effectiveness and robustness of the proposed technique.
