Abstract
The exact solution of problem for plane stationary sound wave scattering from a cylindrical shell weakened by long linear slit is found. The shell is submerged in ideal fluid and filled by a viscous fluid. The vibration of elastic thin shell is described by the Kirchhoff-Love theory. The numerical analysis of form-function versus the dimensionless frequency or slit location is carried out. The influence of shell geometrical defect on diffraction process is studied.
