Ontology based distributed agricultural knowledge management

Agricultural knowledge is broadly distributed on Internet. They are heterogeneous and polymorphism. In this paper, we gave an overview of using ontology in distributed agricultural knowledge management. We proposed the key steps to implement semantic web to management agricultural knowledge. We discussed semantic knowledge retrieval as emphases application of ontology in agricultural knowledge management. The experiment of construction a sub-domain agricultural (vegetable supply chain) ontology proved the validity of the methods in the paper.
