Abstract
The structures of current color ontologies are more flat than hierarchical. However, we argue that color terms should be structured hierarchically. We have conducted psychological experiments on the mapping between colors and Korean color terms. The continuous physical property of colors makes it impossible for us to refer to ¿every color¿. This property exerted a negative influence in proving a reasonable account of colors. We found out that some color terms are more salient than others and such saliency has induced the hierarchical clusters.
