Abstract
It is difficult to know what happens at the tip of the fiber during the contact laser ablation, since the tip sinks in the tissue. This fact induces the most serious issue, the perforation of vascular tissue in laser angioplasty. In order to solve this issue, many kinds of guidance technique have been studied. Some of them seems to be effective, however, they tend to need complex mechanism in spite of restricted capability to monitor ablation and characterize tissue. Our aim of this study is the ablation monitoring at the fiber tip by a simple probe method.
