Abstract :
A new configuration of three-level z-source inverter has been proposed. The proposed inverter is based on nine-switch configuration reduces the number of switches compared to other configurations while retaining their attractive capabilities such as voltage boosting and low harmonic content. The detailed switching implementation method is analyzed and the suitable periods for applying shoot-through states are presented. To validate the proposed inverter, simulations have been performed using MATLAB/SIMULINK and the results are provided.
