Abstract :
The paper briefly describes the analysis of the magnetic field of a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor using a finite-element based compuder-aided design method. The technique is used to analyze performance based on various permanent magnet rotor configurations without recourse to building costly prototypes for such investigations.
