Abstract :
This paper discusses how to choose the optimum commutation angles for SRG driver at non-stationary high speeds for controlling its output voltage and stabilizing it at a desired constant value. Beginning with review of the basic theory of SRM and its operation as generator, the paper describes relationship between commutation angles and output power of SRG. In other words, this paper explains dependence of output voltage or power of SRG on its excitation angles. By analyzing of the results, optimum range of turn-on and turn-off angle values to obtaining the maximum efficiency and other performance indicators will be found.
