Abstract :
This article describes how to create the conversion technology of bibliographic descriptions from the previous formats to the current DSTU GOST 7.1:2006 on the territory of Ukraine, as such possibility is absent in existing control systems of bibliographic information. The structures of bibliographic descriptions of different standards are explored, compared and the difference between GOST 7.1-84 and DSTU GOST 7.1:2006 is analyzed. The obtained information is used to form the principles of the conversion of bibliographic descriptions to the current format on the example of the abstract of dissertation. It is also proposed to apply the markup language XML in the bibliographic description based on a defined set of rules.
