Dmitriy Borisovich Zimin: Scientist and maecenas (to the 80th anniversary from the date of his birth)

Life and activities of the famous Russian scientist and Maecenas, the founder and president of “Dinastiya” charity foundation,- a specialist of Radio Engineering Institute of Academy of Sciences of the USSR in the past, Doctor of Engineering Dmitry Borisovich Zimin, are analyzed. The new facts concerning “Dinastiya” charity foundation´s support of the Crimean microwave conference in 2005, and Zimin´s visits to the Crimea and Sevastopol are put into scientific circulation.
