Abstract :
This paper presents a set of hardware components to be implemented in a control and communications board that is highly configurable. The target board may be configured according to the particular requirements of the application and this will imply a change in its hardware. Therefore, a flexible design methodology and a target technology with reconfiguration capabilities are required in the development of this system. The modules have been developed in VHDL and are implemented in FPGAs in the board. The paper shows the goals of the project, the design methodology and tools to achieve them and some of the results obtained
