Abstract :
This paper proposes the design of PD-like fuzzy logic controller (PDFLC), on Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) device which improve speed, accuracy, power, compactness, and cost effectiveness. The design utilizes 1260 slices of the target FPGA. It enables also to produce an output at 6μs. The proposed PDFLC is used to control a magnetic sustentation system. In this system, the metallic ball is kept stable in an adjustable height position. The experimental results show the stability of the metallic ball on the equilibrium position and as same as on an up and down movement.
