Abstract :
Battle Management Language emerges to enhance the interoperability among M&S system, C4I system and future robotic forces, by applying an unambiguous, communicable, comprehensive language and data-exchange mechanism to digitize the information transferred within military systems. Both SISO and NATO have noticed its importance and started their research partly cooperatively. Most researchers identify with taking 5W(what, who, when, why, where) as basic elements to describe the BML. What´s more, in the BML, requirements to data model, syntax and semantic has been recognized. Data Mode Phrase 1 of CBML has been achievable thanks to the work of SISO CBML Study Group. Although researchers have raised some methods to establish the grammar of BML, the second phrase of Grammar´ study is still underway. So is the Semantics. Despite of some existing approaches, they are sill not enough to describe the meaning of BML, to fill the gap between syntax and semantics and to support semantic reasoning which benefits aiding decision-making system in the future. In this paper, we proposed a new method to formalize the meaning of BML base on Concept-KnowledgeTree Representation Framework (CKRF), a well tested Framework, and then we explained how to apply the new semantic model for BML to solve problems mentioned above.
