Abstract
The Software Defined Radio (SDR) is a technology that enables to run several radio waveforms on the same hardware terminal. In this paper, we evaluate the benefits of using several communication technologies, based on SDR hardware, in automotive cooperative systems. We propose to integrate to the vehicles a SDR hardware supporting IEEE 802.11 and DVB-T technologies. We study the behaviors of cooperative systems in a realistic environment. We investigate, based on simulation experiments, the performances of applications integrated in the cooperative system when this system is based on multiple wireless technologies.
