Abstract :
Mathematical models for nonlinear control systems which, along with standard integrable inputs, admit impulsive ones, are developed. It is stated that the mathematical apparatus utilized for the description of impulsive control systems must accommodate the details of the realization of the impulsive inputs in the nonlinear setting and permit an ambiguous impulse response. The concept of generalized input is introduced. Based on this concept the description of nonlinear control systems with discontinuous state trajectories is proposed. The main result of the paper consists in the specification of the set of instantaneous impulse responses of a nonlinear system by means of a reachability set of a certain auxiliary dynamical system with integrable inputs. The complete integrability of the auxiliary system is proven to guarantee the uniqueness of the impulse response
