Abstract :
Closest coset decoding (CCD) is an efficient soft-decoding technique for block codes. The decoding procedure introduced, which is based on the concept of coset decoding, achieves the same asymptotical coding gain as a maximum-likelihood decoder with significantly less computational effort. Detailed functions of CCD are presented for decoding Reed-Muller codes
