Abstract :
This paper reports the results of a series of fundamental studies on streaming electrification of liquid nitrogen flowing through an electrical insulating or a metal pipe by using a so-called Faraday cage. Streaming electrification of liquid nitrogen flowing through mesh(es) installed in a pipe is also discussed. Furthermore, potentials measured with an electrostatic voltmeter of the inner surface of a pipe and on the surface of a solid insulating materials placed in the pipe are also reported after flowing liquid nitrogen in the pipe.
