Abstract
The proposed laboratory for teaching power electronics combines experimenting with a real prototype and using a simulator. In this case the teaching laboratory is focused on the switched DC/DC converters. Students can learn by their own and without professor assistance not only the theory about switched DC/DC converters, but also the differences between theory and practice, the importance of simulation in the design process and the basic of measurements. A set of software and hardware tools has been developed that is fully described in this paper.
