Abstract :
An algorithm of edge detection of fractal dimension variance is created by maximum likelihood method. Given prior uncertainty of fractal dimension values, an adaptive algorithm of edge separation using correlation dimension estimates obtained by observed data is proposed. An analysis of synthesized algorithms is carried out for the conditions of complete and incomplete a priori information.
