Abstract :
Gas governor is a mechanical device that reduces the gas pressure in the city gas supply system. However, when the demand of the gas supply increases, the offset of the downstream pressure also increases. If the loop gain of the system is increased to reduce the offset, vibrations can occur and cause annoying noise or even damage to the system. In this study the new method to reduce the offset and vibration at the same time by using integral and feedforward structure is studied. Prototype of the gas governor is manufactured and experimented virtually. Results are verified with the calculated results and effects of the integral and feedforward can be observed.
